There will be dedicated servers but they are not for rent or control/admining by clans. Read my first post here for the official press release. Only Treyarch will host and run the servers.

Can I rent a server?

No. We are providing a huge number of servers around the world at no extra charge – plenty for everyone to enjoy. And we will administer the servers.

Will there be mod tools?

No.  As we continually improve and advance our in-house tools for our own content teams we are unable to provide consumer tools due to increased technical requirements, licensing restrictions, and technology dependencies.

I also just cancelled my order. I really don't want to play on servers with foul-mouthed sexist smack talking morons running around with their spray and pray tactics. I like playing with all you eloquent, polite crouching campers

Eloquent?..... who was it? C'mon now, fess up.... who dun it? We dont need none of this fancy dancy eloquence ruining all of our killin fun. Now we'll have to say "excuse me" for taking someone elses kill, "pardon me" for not killing on first shot, "bless you" if someone sneezes and misses a shot..... awww its just gonna ruin everything.... blasted eloquence... nasty stuff

Crap! I just spent a week upgrading my bios and drivers so it will run, only to find now that it is just like MW2-3, which I have bought only to find there is no Clan support for public matches....Sucks! I have been playing crouch servers since COD 1, end of an era I guess.

Sadly 30-06 its time to move on. We have crouch servers in BF3 and Black Ops. Hope to see you there!
