I am giving up on New Year's resolutions! They never work out because I have no will power and I could never understand giving up something you like. Life is to short, and yes it may be bad for you, but we could die crossing the street.
Instead of giving something up and calling it a New Year's resolution, we should all start doing something we really really want to do and call it a New Year's wish.
Ladyhawk, if you like chickens you should have as many as you can afford and have the room for, they make you happy.
Mr T You are an awesome programmer and why save money for someone else to spend? Keep a little nest egg for a rainy day and go out an buy something you really really want when you have the money for it. Plus, you can probablly beat most of those Alpha's single handed...
Watja Instead of giving up pop just give up Coke, as Pepsi is more than just desert you know lol

happy just to point out that a new years resolution does not mean you have to give something up it can mean doing something more or that you've never done before. and when i say save money i do mean exactly as you say a nest egg for hard times and rainy days. and as for me everything on my list does make me happy i'm not giving up something and i enjoy what i do

I prefer to make New Years Resolutions that I can keep to.
