RISING STORM - PC Gamers GAME of the YEAR
I can see this game easily over running W@W as it gathers momentum and may just well be THE NEXT BIG THING.
This game looks like W@W but WOW.
FInd it in the Steam Store.

Bah! I missed the sale. But it still has some multi-monitor bugs, so I'll wait until those get ironed out. Or until someone at WSGF comes up with a fix...
If W@W does indeed end up being impractical for us to keep supporting - which I'm sure is inevitable, i think Rising Storm may just be the ticket. Far as I recall, the (and Red Orchestra) got their start as a MP mod for... Wolfenstien? and it's open-sourced, mod friendly, proper servers, supports admin tools, and all the other goodies that PC games had 'back in the day'. It also appears to have a pretty decent following.I know a big part of the W@W love in BK is not just the gameplay, but the WW2 scheme. There are also a slough of other COD-style shooters that come out every year that have dedicated servers, admin tools, etc., but they're almost always Indie games, and don't have the budgets to advertise, which keep the popularity down. As Activision and Apple have proved: you don't need a quality product when your advertising budget is immense.

Thanks for the spelling CHECH there Abram
Snap71, my initial game load ups were clitchy too, I think this game is at the upper limits of my video card.
Can you believe how many servers there are... WOW.... Incredible how this game was under the radar.
I agree Reform, playing
RISING STORM with some BK buddies would be awesome. Looks like a few of us are in We'll just have to try and get the word out

Well after downloading it I'm kinda wondering if this is the finished product or not. I don't seem to have any access to ingame controls and key bindings, audio settings and game play settings. Did I miss something or is this still awaiting an update?

I have it, just never played it much.
The other WW2 game that came out that was supposed to rival W@W, bombed big time.
Enemy Front.
It had potential but died out.
