I got the popup today for my free copy of Windows 10. I am still on Windows 7 and like it but hear good things about 10.
So anyone here using Windows 10 on their gaming system? I would love your feedback on if I should upgrade.
Thanks!

I have three computers here running 24/7. Two on Windows 7 and one on Windows 8. I have yet to see the icon/popup about the free upgrade, though I did just read an article about it a moment ago.
None of my Windows Updates are fully up to date so that could be why I haven't seen anything yet.

When I first saw the pop-up I thought I had a virus or malware
So I guess I can rule that out, just not sure if I want 10 still looks too much like 8. I really enjoy windows 7, but most of the time free is for me lol

You have to make sure that your OS is current with it's updates as well. After that, you should then have the windows logo in your system tray. Also, it will be free for the first year, so if you don't see the logo, just make sure you update your windows OS before the end of the year and you should be able to upgrade to 10.

I have been beta testing Win10 for a few months now. Over all its Windows 8/8.1 with a start menu. Dont get excited, because its not the start menu youre used too with Windows 7.
As for stability, they are still working out some small issue. Most of the OS controls are App based, so there are some problems still being worked on.
DX12 is there, but not much out that currently utilizes it. More to come Im sure.
All in all, the OS is good, fresh coat of paint for the old system.
My largest concern is Ive been hearing rumors from some of my Microsoft contract that after the first year of everyone being able to upgrade to the OS for free, MS will change their business model and start charging a subscription fee for OS updates. Now this is a **RUMOR** so dont quote me on it.
My 2 cents
