Thank You! (Update on my Daughter)

I just wanted to say thank you to all the BK members we contacted me about my daughter. She went into the hospital on Tuesday and stayed for several days. She got some neuro bug and became badly dehydrated. Sadly it is hard to tell a two year old what is happening and she started to identify food and water as the problem so she stopped drinking and eating. After a few days she started to look better so they took her off the IVs and she relapsed quickly.

For 6 days she has thrown up and had dehydrated that has drained her. With my wife in Korea I am the only one to take care of her.

I have been in BK no for almost 14 years and I wanted to say thank you to everyone here. So many of you I consider good friends and your support means a lot to me.

I would like to thank everyone who has helped fill in the gap as I have been gone this last few months. Its great to see that the 14 years of work I put into BK has paid off in a group that supports each other and steps up when someone is away.

I want everyone to know big things are coming and I want you all to know BK is very close to my heart.

This happened to my cousin not to long ago.

She just turned 5 not to long ago so I can see it happens on the early ages.

I send my best regards to your Family and especially your daughter.

If I had a kid I would relate more about the struggles. And at this age I can get what parents have to deal with and how much the care about us.

Once again, best regards to your Daughter Luke!

Luke- I hope they can get her hydrated and better soon! I know it must be incredibly scary for you and your wife right now. A couple of years ago I spent weeks at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia at the bedside of my beloved nephew who, also, had an unexplained illness. The doctors never DID figure out what was wrong - even when specialists from John Hopkins and the Boston Children's Hospital were brought in. He just got better eventually... but it was frustrating. I am praying for her - and you know we all wish you and your family the best.
