So lots of changes for me since last year. Looking to get back into gaming and enjoying all the good times with my bk mates. Currently looking at different systems on newegg & talked with a knowledgable sales rep at Best Buy about Cyberpower gaming desktops. He game me some pretty good options in the pricy range however. Would anyone be willing to help me get a good grasp of how much I should spend on this investment. Thanks

For Me I have a 400 dollar computer that I build 5 years ago.  I play battlefield 4 on it.... However at the lowest possible settings. It was a low end pc when i built it and its even lower now.  I did build a 1k pc not to long ago for a friend and that would probably run battlefield 4 and most other pc games at  reasonable rates.  If your looking for a high end computer I would expect that 1k would barely cover even the video card.

My latest build is an Intel CPU on Asus Sabertooth mobo. I have a 259 SSD for my Win 10 and 1tb HDD for my music, photos etc. EVGA 960 Nvidia video card, 1000 watt Antec psu and 12g's of memory with Acer 21" monitor. Cost around $1200 about 2 yrs ago.
You need to pick your processor then a mobo to match the socket set. The case should have good air flow unless you go with a cooler system.
You can also buy an already built system like Cyberpower, I believe we have some members that Cyberpower units.

That is what I have been looking at on Newegg, the cyberpower desktops. I am trying to go with the GTX 10 series it'd be a load of money but real great to have the new 1080.

I had my PC built by them & started out BB & then upgraded as I could afford. I researched building my own with a friends help but I found they could build one for me cheaper than the parts I was going to buy.

That looks like a mean machine & worth the price.

I was going go build my own but after extensive research I bought an ASUS. I would do it again and for 1500 you can buy an awesome system. Building your own is awesome as reading above but buying one that has solid reputation and warrant and support was what swayed me. Either way for that money you will be happy, just thought I'd throw you my experience and decision.

I'll give a thumbs up for ASUS as well.  Laptop from them and have had no problems.  Can't say that from the dell or Hp I have owned which were sent back repeatedly for repairs.
That pc looks nice for the price for sure. Wish it had more ram and a bigger ssd but that can always be upgraded in the future.

Take a look at this website: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/ you can pick what you want and it'll make sure all the parts you choose are compatible. It will also keep a running total of how much you're going to spend. I believe it will even tell you the cheapest place to buy the parts!
