IW has announced that there will be no community admins and no dedicated servers. All admining and servers will be run threw IW in MW2. This means there will be no *BK* servers no matter what we do. Will you buy MW2 now that they have pulled the best parts of multiplayer out of the game?

Not initially, I don't want to pay for a straight port from the consol to PC, but I may look at buying it later down the road if prices drop, or if something else occurs to change my mind.

I was very disappointed by OF Dragon Rising so I will make sure MW2 is worth it before buying it. Not having dedicated servers is a drawback but will not stop me if the game is worth it.

Sorry but without our own servers it's not gonna be as much fun. Maybe I'll look at the single player but... well.. They just killed the game for me.

We need something to migrate to so that we can keep the team together. Obviously there will be a lot of us who will eventually buy this game and even play together with tags in the same servers but it won't be the same. We might even lose all connection in game with our foreign friends, and I for one will not do that. I will eventually buy this game. I might even buy it the day it comes out through Steam but I am not very happy with the way this is going. We won't even be able to have our own gamestyle and unique gameplay we have here at BK. So I will buy it. But I am not happy with IW.

I will wait for the dust to settle down. I am not a singleplayer guy...i dont enjoy the run and gun style of play and i dont want to be charged for extra content as maps and etc...

I will not buy it right away, but may if they have dedicated servers, then I will buy it. What made MW so great was the servers!

The whole purpose of playing these first person shooters for me has been the camaraderie. Starting with my old clan and now with *BK*, the only reason I play is to interact with people like minded and who are a pleasure to communicate with. These people I have had a pleasure to meet and over time call friends, would not be a part of my world if not for the Clan based play that we have come to know. I cannot fathom moving on to another game that does not support this camaraderie we have become accustomed to.
If purchasing MW2 is going to require me to pay a premium to get maps, updates or subscribe to a server or service such as Everquest or like games, then this is no different than owning an XBox or PS3. Why bother spending the $300-$400 it's going to cost me to upgrade my computer this month and just go buy one of those 2 consoles and play on that. Will save me a lot of time and heart ache.
No, I think i will pass. IW has made some poor choices in regards of treating their most hardcore customer base. Don't think I can afford to let them continue sucking my money away in this fashion. Too many kids to feed to worry about paying a monthly premium to play a game. Hey...saves me some money on upgrades to my computer now.......
Riv out...

I have only played online games that have communities attached to them. Without that there is no game for me....PASS
I won't even buy it with dedicated servers. The game has not been produced to take advantage of the PC. All we have here is an "Sbox" (Slave Xbox) game .....PASS
I would NEVER pay for a patch to fix a game....PASS
