So MLGA, let me see if i got this right...
If game as is stands is an apple,
and game with a sever mod is a banana,
a game downloaded form Torrant would be a orange...
if we beat up alll members of IW, could we make a fruit salad?????

First, epbble. Yes actually I was just thinking about that earlier this morning.
I think now is a good time to ask the question everyone has been wondering.....what is that stat bar at the bottom of your posts, Luke?
And Dogshadow, um, wow. Way to think outside of the box, or the fruit basket.

Idk... this whole thing is just fruity (no pun intended). I mean something that really has been the base for most FPS games for a long time they are looking to do away with and convert more to that of the Diablo .battlenet? I could understand that this could potentially be a huge catastrophe, but along with that there is another thought:
What if they setup something like what Diablo has, where the gaming company owns the servers and makes gateways that people can come in and create their own 'game rooms'? Not to mention if we move things over to the .iwnet, does that potentially mean that console and PC gamers will play against each other on the same servers? I haven't seen anything about whether or not this is able to be done, but that would greatly expand the community if they could manage to figure that one out.
The main issue we have with no dedicated servers right now is the fact that we cannot control the server where we play which means we cannot continue our style of gaming. I agree that this is an issue, but I am also wondering what benefits this could give us as well as far as overall cost and whether or not they can implement cross-platform integration for servers.

Oh I have no doubt that they will cross eventually, Immolation. Some Xbox 360 Halo 3 players would kick butt in our servers. But yes there is the very obvious advantage of PC gamers over console gamers.
