Please explain what's up with the PC. I have a Dell and it has problems every day, so I am experience in the torments of owning a Dell.

A friend of mine had the same problem with a brand new Dell. It was a bad hard drive. Test the hard drive or have it checked somewhere.

Have you ran a scandisk? Since its is your system partition you will need to reboot and let it run on boot. Make sure to check auto fix errors. Also run any scanning software in safe mode. What we use at work is Mcafee for antivirus and Lavasoft's Adaware, Spybot, and Malwarebytes for adaware/spyware/malware. All are free except Mcafee. We run all three adaware programs on any scans we need to do, if you do find any viruses/adaware/spyware/malware reboot into safe mode again and rescan.
