I am trying to upgrade my video card in my PC. But I am not sure if it will run it, cause it is a kinda cheap Barebone.

I am Running an Shuttle Glamor XPC SN78SH7 AMD Socket AM2+ / AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 8200 2 x 240Pin GeForce 8200 mGPU Black Barebone

1 x PCI Express x16

300W
Dimension: 7.5" (W) x 3.3" (H) x 1.7"(D) (Max)
Input: 100-240V AC

And has 2, 2 gig Corsair Mem.....



I want to run a
ASUS EN9500GT/DI/1GD2/V2/A GeForce 9500 GT 1GB 128-bit DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP

Is my lil beast ready to run this hardware?

Replace your Power Supply. Shoot for 500W or better.

For that card the 500 watt sli psu would do okay. It would have extra 6 pins and only has 2 sata cables according to reviews. It is always good to think about future upgrades and to be prepared for them. Shuttles are low end quality. If money is tight then I would go with 4 gb RAM all same numbers. Many complained about mobos going bad right away. CoD:WaW requires more resources to play smoothly than the cod 4 did.
When are you coming in to get your BK tags on?

Not sure what SIZE power supply Shuttle XPC cases use, but if it's a smaller form factor power supply try this one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817338038

Also, be sure to check the dimensions of any cards you are looking at buying to make sure they will fit in the case.  If it can take a full size card shoot for at least an 8800GT.  A 500w will run that fine.

Let me know about the physical size of the power supply though and I can make another suggestion or two.

A new case would definitely be a good upgrade.  Even a cheapo 30 dollar one would promote a heck of a lot more airflow.  Just stay away from cheap cases that include power supplies.  When it comes to powering your system you get what you pay for.

Avoid cheap cases all together. The Coolermaster 690 is inexpensive and very well suited to operation and upgrading. (That PSU should work fine, BTW.)

Great find on that one strand, coolmaster is one of the better brands to stick with. Some of them can be on the pricey side but you definitely get your moneys worth. Also, if you're thinking about upgrading, as Tet said, do think about your power supply. I currently run a BFG 750w and I've never had any troubles at all. BFG or Antec products are what I personally suggest. Currently I'm on system 30 of pcs that I've built for myself or others.

Just make sure you have the room for the graphics card as it is huge. You will as need a bigger psu, 500 watt min.

The card may also cover up some of your sata ports as well a pci slot.

Also air flow maybe an issue as the card will basically partition your case in half.

Modular power suppliess are the way to go.  With a modular power supply you only plug in what you need.  So there are no extra cables hanging around inside your case blocking much needed airflow.

Ohh as for the PSU I got a PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750w PSU, I would suggest that, it is meant for SLI configurations, it is really effecient, has automatic fan speed control that adapts to the temperature of your case and has a great 5 year warranty, pretty much everything you can ask for in a great PSU, not to mention it's inexpensive, the most expensive one I have seen is $129.99.

Yep power supply a must and i would get the 9800 for 20 bucks more,its a lot better card then the 9500
