after I load Call of Duty and reboot the computer I get sound but the screen is black. I am running a IMAC with parrellels 4.0 the other Call of Duty games run fine. I would like to join the server but with out a picture im lost. has this issue ever happened to anyone else.

Have you tried Bootcamp instead?

It's like Parallels' cooler, more popular brother.  And as far as I know WAW runs fine from within it.

Check your Graphics card o make sure you have "shader" capability under game system requirments.
If not you will have to get a new card.
