Hello, all! Just wanted to drop a quick greeting and tell you how very much I've enjoyed the past week of playing on the Polite & Friendly servers. This is my first foray into an online shooter (as you can probably tell by looking at my KD ratio
) , and I must say it's been a fantastic experience, in large part because of this group. My PVP experiences have been in the MMO realm, and I've never really enjoyed it very much, simply because it seemed to be packed with <picksuitableterm> who were bent on sucking the fun out for everyone else. Until I came here, I never knew that PVP could be exciting and competitive, but also FUN, supportive and filled with a sense of humor & good sportsmanship. How very refreshing!
Thank you for letting me participate. I've put in an application to join BK. What a great group!

Wonderful to hear those kind words. Our community is much more than a mere clan and we do have friendly people that help make the experience memorable. I will be looking at your application and hope to see you in teamspeak very soon. it is 8.9.36.132 and the port is 9101

Thanks! I got in TS last night and met Trooper, Cake, Rudedog, Karow, and quite a few others. They were great! Even when shooting me repeatedly in the head when I wandered out into the open....
I look forward to meeting more tonight!

What MMOs did you play?
I was heavy on PvP in MMOs (Ultima Online, Shadowbane, Lineage II, etc..).

In the MMO universe, I've played a LOT of titles. I started way back in the day with Asheron's Call for a couple of years, then took a break for a number of years. I came back to EQ2, which I played for over 3 years. Since then, I've played Age of Conan (which I still have an on-again, off-again love affair with), WAR, and Aion. I"m not giong to mention the numerous ones I picked up, tried for a week and never touched again. So yeah....lots of MMOs.

Welcome aboard Piperchick - I echo your sentiment - this is a great bunch to game with and as you have already found, it is even fun when your k/d ratio is in the toilet - it just does not seem to matter to anyone what your score is as long as you are having fun - here's to many more fun nights!!

Seconding WindRider's comments, remaining alive is highly over rated. Everyone will have their own style and mine is full speed ahead. I am usually the one with the most deaths *shrug* what do I care? You have made the group better by becoming a member. It is great to see your husband on now also. Too much fun!
