Hello BK brothers and sisters : I want to thank you for the prayers and kind well wishes many have offered for my wife during her recent medical problems. She went in to the hospital this last Tuesday for a much needed total hip replacement, and after being checked and approved for the procedure by all the doctors involved [ortho., family, cardiologist, and anethesist] they began the surgery. Shortly after putting her to sleep, she flat-lined and CPR was began and after 15 seconds normal heart rythem was restored. About 10 seconds later she flat-lined again and another 15-20 seconds of CPR was performed after which normal heart operation resumed. In an attempt to find the problem, the next day a heart catherazation revealed a 95% blockage in one branch off a main artery and stents were put in. The Drs. are unsure if that caused her shutdown amd are investigating further. Her hip surgery has been postponed for three months.
I came very close to losing her and again want to thank you all for your concerns. This clan is a great group of people and you continue too show your outstanding character time after time anytime a member needs true friends. Again Thank You from  our family.    Cake

Cake,
I'm terribly sorry to hear of your wifes problems and near death experience.  I will keep her as well as you in my prayers.  It really makes you stop and think when you come that close to losing someone you love.  I've been on both ends of that situation before, coming close to losing and also being the lost, I can tell you it's not any easier on her side of that fence.  Our prayers are with you, brother.

Cake I certainly wish you and your wife all the best. I take it as a very good sign that they have rescheduled the hip replacement only 3 months out.
