So Goober and I are trying to load BC2 on to systems that are Win7-64.  We are able to get through the language screen, enter game key and able to give upload location.  After the process gets just past loading DirectX you get an error screen saying the install program was lost.  I've done some searching on line and cant seem to find anything that works to get the game loaded.

Does anyone have any idea on how to get around this.  Thanks.

Yeah, I saw the clean disc part on line so I used my disc cleaner to make sure it was 100% and as for running as admin I already did that.  Its weird.  Two ppl with the same exact problem.  Thanks for the help.

hmm i presume both of you guys have the hard copies of the game?

If so just activate the game with steam; then the whole install process is bypassed Wink also when blackop being on steam odds are youll be using steam soon anyways!

To activate just go to games and click activate non-steam game. Insert cdkey and it should autodetect.

Silent and Goober, you were both on last night in BC2. So what was the fix?

I already had the game loaded on my main desktop.  I think all goober did was load steam and tried the install again and it seemed to work.  I havent tried it yet.
