I am wondering if anyone else has seen or is currently playing the Beta version of this (Heroes and Generals)?  I found it by accident over the weekend and I thought it was very interesting that it looks to bring in the tactics of war and FPS together.  I have signed up for a beta key and anyone else who would like to join me is more then welcome, just click on the previous link and sign up.

I PM'd you back Gump.  BUT, just the fact that you can be a General (Strategist) or a Hero (FPS) in the persistent game world, brings it to an almost MMO level of play for those of us that love WWII.  If you haven't, take a look at some of the Video Logs that they have out there showing the gameplay.  For a Beta, it's pretty good and the graphics and gameplay are only going to get better.

So, as of right now, I am not seeing any costs, but I guess I could see this being a Free 2 Play MMO, with the ability to upgrade faster or higher with some form of a payscale (basically my thinking is you can play free through NCO rank, if you wish to go higher you may have to pay or "donate" to the cause...but not sure, so don't quote me).

Just remember, this is a persistent world (similar, but not the same to WWII Online) and their is strategy involved for those wishing to be a "general" and pay close attention to the "tactics", then there are those grunts that want to want to do the shooting, thus the FPS aspect.  I can't think of anything better than that (almost a BF3 in WWII on steroids)!!!
