Hi all !!

I am in need of some big time help with a problem i have.

This morning right out of the blue all my games stoped working.

They start just fine but when it comes to chose wich class i wanna use the games freezes and the monitor just gets either blury or start looking wierd with all kinds if colours and things.

And when i hit ctrl-alt-del the taskmanager just pops ut for a quick second and then dissapers with out giving me the option to close the game.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers without any succes.

So i start to think if its the videocard thats casuing the problem or if it is something in win 7.

Any help is very appriceated.

Sweed do you have a temp monitor on video card?

have you taken out the card and cleaned the fan on it?

sound like it is overheating

Hi Swedish,
Could be temperature issue as TakerDeep mentioned. I know it's difficult to not jump into a game straight away, but are you able to use the computer for browsing or other stuff for any length of time or does it only lock-up when launching games (i.e. switching to high-res)?

I had something like this about a year ago, and had to remove all drivers, set Windows to use a default res of 800x600, then finally install the new drivers.

There was a new set of ATI catalyst drivers released a couple of days ago - so could this be a cause?

Blurring and crazy colors? Oh yes, you're overheating. GPU-Z is a good, free, small program that can record max/current GPU temps to a log file. Run it, enable logging, and start a game.

If your temps are okay (say, less than 80-90c) than your GPU is probably faulty.
