The rules state that neither BK or guests should use known glitches (similar to when MAV-riding and the MASS bug were being exploited). If they can't fight fairly, then we can give then a friendly kick, though this decision needs to be agreed by someone more senior than I.

The player should be advised that they are not visible on the map while using the mortar, and to remove the suppressor if they wish to continue using the mortar. This should be typed out in a polite & friendly statement to the player. For example, "Stop glitching with the mortar, Player" is a terrible way to resolve the situation. Explain why they are being asked to make a change, and give the player a chance to prove they are not intentionally exploiting a glitch, before taking disciplinary action.

I agree with and support both comments above.
It's clearly a glitch, and use of it therefore contravenes our server rules.
If a player is found to be taking advantage of the glitch they should be asked to cease doing so in the in game chat.
Continued use should escalate to a kick after 3 warnings.

Well there was also a glitch with the M16 A3, but that didn't stop some members from using it during the fire team matches.

This is what I don't understand, Crossbows, and snipers with silenced weapons don't show up on the map either, but that's OK. But mortars can't. That means I can't carry a silenced weapon if I have a mortar. So every time I fire my rifle I will show up on the map. Seems a little unfair that not showing up on the map is OK for some players but not for others.

Really, I didn't know this stuff. I use 240b with silencer and sometimes use mortar when someone else is going crazy with it on opposite team. So I can't be seen with mortar in use? And I always try to do assignments so each particular gun is only used so long unless I really like it. And I always equip silencer when it is available so your not seen on map and heard.

I think for now I will just put the mortar away. To many people with silenced weapons complaining about it.
