My first impression of the PS4 is EXCITED!
I have owned a PlayStation since I bought the first one for Final Fantasy 7 and have purchased each model shortly after they came out.
The ability to stream all the old PS1, 2, and 3 tittles is a great addition and something Gamestop should be worried about. Bungie coming to the PlayStation for the first time with Destiny I'm sure has upset Microsoft. Blizaard now has a partnership with Playstatation could bring some must own title to PS4 that will drive sales like FF7 or GTA3.
The sharing option that with the press of a button you can post a video or screen shot to Facebook is a huge addition. The ability to pause your game turn off the PS4 and resume it when ever you want is a huge addition that gamers have been asking for.
The PC like architecture means games built for the PC can easily run on the PS4 with very minor changes. Sony's dedication to independent game creators with a self publishing option will help the PS4 to quickly offer a large and robust game library.
The ball is now in Microsoft court to top Sony.
The PS4 is said to launch in the 2013 holiday season.
