Thanks for all the support guys!
I was able to get in a room Wednesday morning at about 11am. At 2:30pm they did my surgery.
Basically the incisions made on my right leg had gotten infected and were oozing. I developed a low grade fever on Tuesday morning, and the surgeon told Mom and Dad that if it spiked above 101, i was to go to the ER. At about 10pm Tuesday night, it spiked to 103.2
Then as you guys know, i went to the ER and sat on that rock hard bed for 11 hours. Dad finally put his foot down and demanded a room or we would go to the hospital down the street. The director of the hospital was contacted and he personally escorted us to a room. He said he would be taking care of everything. And he has, hoooo boy. everyone is tripping over themselves to make sure i got everything i need Razz
So. now the surgery.
Basically they undid my stitches that were holding the major incision on my right leg closed. Then they flushed and scraped everything to make sure they got all of the infection out then stitched me back up. It may or may not work. But if they have to do it a second time, they will remove the plate and replace it along with a thorough cleaning. basically bacteria like to hide in the metal's crevices, and until the would heals. encasing the metal in tissue, they have a great little hiding place that is inaccessible to the body's bug fighting brigade Razz
so now im stitched back up, on a steady drip of dilaudid (basically morphine but stronger per gram) and they want to moniter me for a few days.
I wont be on the battlefield much, as the doctor says violent video games raise blood pressure and release chemicals into the bloodstream helping my gameplay that are better allocated towards fixing my leg.
but who knows, i may pop in TS and just listen to yall and chat a bit once in a while XD
Thanks for the support and i will keep ya updated!

reopening an incision?  How much fun is that? = NONE I assume.

Stay strong, my friend!

Look forward to seeing you on the battlefield soon
