Actually, it's a lake, and the ice was pushed down from a tributary river.

Onamia, MN which is about an hour north of Tazman and 4 hours south of me. This type of thing happen north of Winnipeg last year and leveled many cottages and houses. Lake Superior doesn't push up crushed ice like that..............it pushes up sheets of 24" + ice.  Shocked

Yeah...this was big news around these parts last winter (2012-2013).  Some of the footage looks like from the video that was out during last winter, but not surprised if it happens often!!!
