Just saw this on Steam-
Insurgency
It's got dedicated servers, up to 32 players, squad based objectives, close quarters maps....
And it's pretty darn cheap!
Seems to hit all the points we are looking for...
P.S. This is NOT the source mod- it is a stand alone game.

Looks decent. For ten bucks probably worth the pickup. Might grab it tomorrow to give it a shot.

DItto, I will be home from work in 3-5 hours. It probably won't be done downloading by then but if it is I will hop on TS.

Soooo, match making no dedicated servers. Game is not terrible but it is a $10 game.
I would have to say graphics look older then WAW, playable but if you haven't spent money I wouldn't bother.
Just my opinion though!

There is a server browser and dedicated servers. It's on the left when you click Play now.
And while the graphics aren't BF 4 quality, they are pretty decent. The game style takes some getting used to.

So some thoughts after playing a few games of Insurgency-
1. This is HARD- real hardcore, as in no enemy names, no notification of an enemy kill, and no notification of who killed you.
2. I've only played 3 maps, but they were all pretty close quarters- two were in a village (at least the objective was) and one was in a building.
3. lots of recoil from the weapons. when you shoot, your vision gets partially obscured by smoke from your own gun. If you are getting suppressed you know it.
4. Did I mention this is hard?
5. The respawn mechanism isn't for everyone. Depending on the type of game, each team starts off with a limited number of respawns. I think they are on a timer, and when you die you have to wait till the timer is up. You respawn back at your spawn point (the enemy can't enter there) with any other team mates that died. Once your team is out of respawns, you can only get more if you take an objective. If the team gets eliminated after using your last respawn and not capturing an objective, you lose the round. It can be annoying if the last guy alive decides to camp.
6 You pick a class, and there are only so many of each class on a team. You can customize your weapon and buy addons from supply points you earn during the game. I don't think there are any unlocks of weapons or achievements that are tied to your account- it's sort of like the old counter strike in that regard. (although I may be completely wrong on this point)
7. I think it would be fun in crouch mode, haven't found a crouch server yet.
8. Teamwork definitely makes a difference,
9 Oh yeah, the game is HARD.... it makes BF look like an arcade game.
