Hey! I'm building a new rig and it's my first attempt (and maybe last...).
Picked up all the stuff from the computer store today.
If anyone is interested, here is the spec:
- MB = ASUS X99-A
- CPU = Intel core i7 5820K, 3.3 GHz, 15MB
- Chassis = Corsair Obsidian 750D
- GPU = ASUS GeForce GTX 980 Ti, 6 GB Strix DC3 OC
- PSU = Fractal Newton R3, 1000 W
- SSD = Samsung 850 Evo, 500 GB
- RAM = Corsair 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4, 2400 MHz, CL14 Vengeance LPX
- HDD = WD Black, 1 TB
- Optical = ASUS DVD +/- RW, DRW-24F1ST
- CPU cooler = Noctua NH-U9B SE2
+ a couple of extra fans
- OS = Windows 10
I'm pretty sure it will not contribute in any way to my gaming scores but it will hopefully make more fun to lose.
Wish me luck....!

Very nice rig Viking, it's always better to build your own plus there's the satisfaction factor. I've always enjoyed building my own.

Well, the new build is up and running since a week or two.
It's running very smoothly so far. The SSD makes a heck of a difference to the loading times.
The whole build did cost an arm and a leg but you have to prioritize in life.
Only difference to the spec above is that the CPU cooler that the store recommended didn't fit the 2011-3 socket, so it was replaced by a Be Quiet cooler.
I caught that before assembly so no biggie.
So Sunny, I'll be counting down with you.
See you on the battlefield (through a sniper scope).

Then the wrath of Thor will come upon Sunny. Beware!
