On the 11th day at the 11th hour of the 11th month WW2 ended and some peace was restored to the people of Europe and the World. To all the veterans In Bad Karma I would like to thank you for the sacrifices you made so many years ago and I am saddened for all those who are not with us today. As I reflect in my moment of silence today I will pray for the many families who faced loss and the many Vets that still deal with the horrors they faced to this day. I am thankful and grateful to you all
Much love

Veteran’s Day derived from Armistice Day, which was the end of WWI, not WWII.

Thanks Astro!
For the record,it was the 11th hour of the 11th day that ended WWI (not WWII) that the cessation of hostilities was agreed upon and is now remembered as Armistice Day. In the US, President Eisenhower declared Armistice Day as Veterans Day in 1954 to honor all veterans of all wars.
As a retired Air Force E-8 (SMSgt), I find it very important to remember all those that have served, both past and present, that keep ternary at bay!
