As many of you may have already heard, Friday morning Johnny's brother lost his wife and three children in a house fire. Johnny's brother now has the heartbreaking task of burying his family and could really use some support as they were without insurance. There are a few groups putting on fundraisers in an attempt to try and help with the cost of the funerals.  We have put together a GoFundMe page for anyone who would like to donate to this cause. I would ask all BK'ers to have a look at the link and please share it on whatever social media you use. Even the smallest donation could mean the biggest difference in this family's time of need.

The BK family is one with a big heart that cares about each of its members. One of us is in great emotional pain at this time. Please join me in sending prayers and doing whatever we can to help Johnny and his family through this terrible time.

Sorry about the refunds. The account was set up in Canadian dollars since that is all I could do from up here. Unfortunately, it would have ended up in a technical mess for Johnny's family to withdraw the money. I got ahold of the GoFundMe people and they were very happy to help out. They have refunded the donations and reset the site to USD. If you would be so kind as to re-donate it would be greatly appreciated.

There is a new link to the donation site and the old link will be re-directed to the new one. So if you shared the old link, don't worry, it will get to the right place. If you have not shared the link to this fundraiser yet, please use this new link.

A heartfelt thank-you to all who have contributed so far. As of this morning we have already received 11 donations and at least 6 of us have shared the link on social media. Remember, the more people that read about this - the better chance we have at succeeding to reach our goal.

Thanks again BK!!! You guys rock Smile

FYI

100% of all the money collected will go to the family for the funeral expenses. GoFundMe does collect a small fee up front from the donors to cover the costs of setting up and maintaining the site. As well, it gives the donors the ability to give from multiple sources such as their credit cards. But to make it perfectly clear... every dollar that is collected towards this cause will go directly to the family.

Thanks,
