Ok guys & gals, here’s some Aussie Rhyming Slang and other sayings. You can add to this post if you like?
Mince Pies = Eyes e.g. “Crikey (see what this means below) you have a nice set of Mince Pies”
Bag of Fruit – Suit e.g. LadyHawk saying to DiggerBaz “ hey Baz you look hot in that Bag of Fruit”
Skyrocket = Pocket. E.g. “ Is that a pen in your Skyrocket or are you just pleased to see me?”
Billy Lids = Kids. E.g. “ Can the Billy Lids come along also?”
Pegs – Legs. E.g. “Crikey she has a nice set of Pegs”
Trouble ‘n’ Strife (see what this means below) = Wife. E.g. “ Gotta get home guys before my Trouble ‘n’ Strife”
Dog ‘n’ Bone = Phone. E.g. “Will someone please get the Dog ‘n’ Bone?”
Frog ‘n’ Toad = Road. E.g. “ OK boys time to hit the Frog ‘n’ Toad”
Crikey = OMG = What the hey = Fair Dinkum
Fair Dinkum #1. = “Really or Honestly”?
Fair Dinkum # 2 = Said in an annoyed tone = “I’m not happy about this”
Strife = “in trouble”

Big-note oneself : brag, boast
Black Stump, beyond the : a long way away, the back of nowhere
Bloke : man, guy
Bogan : person who takes little pride in his appearance, spends his days slacking and drinking beer
Bonzer : great, ripper
Brick shit house, built like a : big strong bloke
Budgie smugglers : men's bathing costume
Cactus : dead, not functioning
