I was wondering... after being a recruit for a while how do members advance in rank from PFC on up?

Well there's a 30 day boot camp period in which you have to attend 3 boot camp events. After your 30 days is up, you will be put into the next promotion thing and will be assigned a rank and fireteam.

Members receive promotions based off the work, effort, and etiquette. It is based off the effort you put into the team.
