I love your servers you guys have.  I played on CoD: WaW with a few of you.  Short lived as it may be.  Im thinking of joining your operation here.  I play BFBC2 and Im usually found on your servers.  Id like to say that Im kinda looking for a clan to join but I have a few questions before I submit my resume(lol).

A little about myself:
Im a 31 year old male from Iowa(Des Moines to be specific). Im typically a PvP MMO guy but like FPS games.  Im not hitched to any MMO right now as I cancelled my Warhammer Online account recently.  Im connected to another clan/guild known as the Chaotic Soldiers(which soon enough may become a graphic novel).  Off and on I've been gaming with them since 97'(Diablo to be exact) since then its almost always MMO games.  We are all pretty scattered now but usually gather for certain releases.  Being a former guild leader I don't like to hop right into a guild/clan.  I like to know about them and usually follow them for awhile.  Much like I have been following BK.  Wink

Which leads me to my first question.

1.  Is it  a problem to be a part of another guild/clan?

2.  Do you  mostly scrimmage against each other or other clans?

3.  I work 3rd shift.  Making most of my gaming early morning is that a problem for guild related activity?

4.  Due to my fathers recent passing.  Most weekends(for an undecided time) I will be busy with family related issues.  Is that a problem?

well, I'll answer you in a point-by-point, as best i kno and understand clan policy.  Please note, while i have been here for over a year, I am by no means the final say on these things.

1 - as I understand it, there is no problem being in another guild/clan, as long as the games that they support are not the same as the ones that we support.  i.e. when playing WH40k, you could have the CS tags on, but for BC2/W@W you would have to put on your *BK* tags.  We dont have a problem with members putting on *BK* tags in games that we do not actively support.

2 - I'd say that our scrims are about 50/50.  we haven't really gotten into scriming in BC2 yet, as the game is still new.  We are more geared towards just messing around, trying to keep the servers populated, and having a good time at this point.

3 - we have members from all over the world, and our servers are up almost 24/7.  As for scrims and such, i have no idea how it will play out, we generally organize events for afternoons, but i think with the increasing overseas following that we have, this could be augmented with events at all hours.  Also, nothing is mandatory, besides having fun.  you can completely dive into *BK* or just occationally skim the surface, its up to you.

4 - We always say that real life comes first.  We all have families, and we all have commitments that are outside *BK*.  we are here to make friends and have fun.

In closing, I suggest that you get on TeamSpeak with us at some point and get a feel for what we are all about.  Our TS server is 8.9.36.132 using port 9101.

Hope to see you in my sights!

Thank you for your interest in joining BK. Its always great to hear from people like your self it makes the work worth it. This year will be our 11th year of playing together. I hope you can be apart of our next 10 years.

Well to answer your questions:

1st We allow members to be apart of a clan/guild as long as they play a different game. For instant many of our members play in counter strike or WOW clans. It just brings up to many issues if you would be apart of a clan that also played BFBC2 like we do.

2nd We like to do matches each week. Both within BK and with other teams. We also do all kinds of fun events with in BK such as shotguns only or different game times for members only. We are now just starting to set up events in BFBC2 like that.

3rd We run 24/7 many members play early mornings after 3rd shift. With our over 260 members there is always someone to play with. Often we have over 50 BK members on TS at the same time.

4th First I would like to pass on my deepest sympathy for your lost. Real life is always more important then a game. We put this at the front of everything we do in BK. There are no mandatory events with in BK and never will be. There are also no mandatory dues. We just ask you follow the rules which basically comes down to respecting all members and being polite and friendly. The only real thing you have to do to join is fill out an application by going to http://politeandfriendly.com/modules.php?name=Application and having a working mic so you can join us on TS>

I hope this answers your questions. I look forward to talking with you on TS.

Thanks for all the replies!  I spent a short time in TS with some of you earlier and look forward to doing so again.  I think you can count on me filling out the join form.

and to tet you can count on me being in SW:TOR.  Everything I have seen for that game is amazing.   Smile
