I think Im going to end up buying a new video card today, funds are extremely tight with this choice.

Currently I have an 8800gt or something like that from BFG/Nvidia

Choices for my little price range are ATI HD4670 1GB PCI-Express Video Card  orrr  XFX ATI Radeon™ HD 5670 512MB DDR5 PCI-EXPRESS VIDEO CARD

Any help in making the decision would be great.  I dont have a super computer like many of you lol...oh yea I'm going to be shopping here: http://www.frys.com/template/index/

And I know that newegg has stuff cheaper but Im looking to go to the store, bring it home and game, won't wait on shipping.

If you plan to play bc2 or any of the more recent games your gonna need some more horsepower than the 8800. I currently have the 260 and it plays the game decently but i too plan to get something bigger and better soon.

Go with a 1 gig card. The GT240 is what I went with when I upgraded, but which ever you decide.....1 gig if your machine will handle it.

Remember though, the more memory on the card doesn't make it better ^_^ there are several older cards that have 2 gigs on them but are no where near as good as the newer cards;

Id post the card you plan to buy b4 you buy it and ill check it out to make sure its worth the money! Very Happy

I'm hoping for a pair of HD5870's. The holidays are still 6 months away ...

Im currently running a single FirePro V7800.  I know its a workstation card and its kind of expensive, but I wont trade it for the word.  I also have a V8800, V5800, V4800 and some DX10 cards and I can honestly I love the V7800.  It games as good as any consumer card but has the horse power to do any 3D rendering.
