In case you didn't know...there's something like 242 community contributed maps for WAW. I have played a lot of them myself and they are in some cases, better than stock maps. Might be a good time to keep things alive, to think about modding a server with just new maps. Modding a server does not mean you have to choose a Mod that alters characteristics of the game. You can use the same engine and settings the game currently uses...just add some maps.
At this point, it may not matter to people if they get points added to the games XP system or not. Just a nice change to make the wait for new games easier. It might just freshen things up and breath new life into your recruiting and lift those who are feeling stale and want some changes. Just saying, it might be worth a round-table.
You need not reply. Just a friendly thought.

We run a non modded server. The only way to get new maps is to put a mod on our severs. This brings new issues to our servers and to the gamers servers. At this time we plan to keep our servers stock.

I don't know what issues might be introduced but I like the idea of some new maps.

That's a shame. So many of us can only take so much repetition. That's a shame. So many of us can only take so much repetition.

What if you changed Server 2 to a 20 person server, then bought an additional 12 person one, I believe unranked server slots or cheaper than a ranked server slot.

I also think some new maps would be nice. How are these modded maps though? I've played a few and they were decent. Any opinions of other maps? Are they well made? what does it take to play these modded maps? Do you have to sit through a bunch of downloads every time one opens up on the server, or is it a one time deal?
you can download the maps two ways...a) through the server, you can package all the maps in one download, that may take up to 5-10 minutes, or you can download them as you play them, around 1 minute wait per map....b)You can download them manually to a file where the game is installed to, which for members is probably the best bet
As for the quality of the maps, there are a lot of really well made maps, some that are so well made you would think they are professional products, I know in CoD2 when the leagues and everything was HUGE, the leagues never played on the stock maps, it was the custom maps they relied on, because the spawns were usually better, there was more variety to the points in which you attack. With saying that, a lot of today's custom maps are regurgitated custom maps from CoD2.

That's all fine and good, but with all due respect, I just happen to like WaW.
