So there is a new battlefield game coming out soon. Its completely free, all you have to do is download the client and such;
BUT! As of right now its release date is set for spring of 2011; Right now they are allowing people to sign up for the early closed beta. Check it out you might like it ;)
hah jokes a side, beta's are when the developers let certain people play the game before it comes out. Think of it as getting to try the game before you buy it.
Originally beta's were meant to test things about the game such as; the network back end or things like the strength of the weapons, as well as making sure people could actually play the game.
Today's betas are kinda like ads really, they let you play the game and get your addicted so you want to play the game more.
This will be a closed beta, which means only certain people will have the ability to play the beta. ( you have to sign up ahead of time )
Ohh wow....yeah, this has some Desert Combat feeling to it, which was the origins for BF2. If I remember right, EA invested (bought) the mod company that created DC, then they created BF2 from there, although many hardcore DC fans (me) was disappointed with it. However, it sure looks sweet right now...
PLAY FOR FREE makes me nervous... is EA going to go to pay to play for other new releases or is some other developer going to pay to play...and when i see an RPG game thats free to play usually means you going to need to buy stuff from "IN GAME STORE" toi be on par we others...
an example you can play with no armor and a hand gun but if you want better weapons and armor, shell out the cash...
Wasnt Battlefield heros along thjose lines?
Of all the games out there, none of the theme music gets me going like the classic Battlefield tune
It's hard, if not impossible, to find anything wrong with the Battlefield series. Done right in the beginning and continue to get better.
This looks to nice to be free....Society shaped early in life to be suspicious of good deals and 'free lunches'. However, time will tell what this will be.
