I just got a G13 - will hook it up tonight.
Has anyone used one with FPS - (COD Black Ops)?
Any thoughts or suggestions about key assignments?
Any reviews?

i have a g13 and i love it mainly cause i cant use the normal WASD so i use the small joystick for moving around....i just left my keys to default and then when u go in game just assign your stuff ...no probs. the one prob u might have at first is running straight if you use the joystick...you have to get used to pushing it straight......you might find yourself semi-strafing at first

After one day of play, I think the G13 feels more comfortable then the standard WASD. Even if you just the standard WASD the G13 just feels better.
Also - the joy stick and some of the other buttons and assigned keys make it way more useful.
I really enjoy using it.
I hope that they have a stat feature for the LCD screen for Black Ops - like they do for other FPS games. Be cool to know info on kills, deaths, ratios, shots fired, etc.
Of course I am a stat junky.
I give it a big thumbs up.

Nothing available yet for the G15/510/19. I am a assuming the G13 uses the same LCD Panel Software the others do. Yesterday I switched back to my G15 to use the LCD display for TS3.

I bought the Logitech G-13 at the suggestion of Hawkeye. I loved it from the start and never had any issues. I also like that it has a teamspeak interface already built in. You can monitor teamspeak from it's own LCD screen. You can also chance channels, mute volume, mute mic ect. without having to use a second monitor or backing out of your game.
I find it much easier to use the G-13 than using the standard keyboard. As for key suggestions that's up to each individual. Play around with it, you'll eventually find what works for you.

I'm noticing an issue with mine. After about five minutes my push to talk key stops working and I am forced to restart Teamspeak. Going to switch back to my Razer today.

After a couple of weeks using the G13 - I notice an improvement in my gaming.
I use the traditional WASD layout, but with the two buttons to toss nades and also use the joystick (up for jab knife) and left/right for a lean alternative it keeps my hand from playing the dancing game around my keyboard.
I also find it more comfortable with the palm rest as well as the keys in a curve (not flat) layout.
So as a test I switched back and forth between the keyboard. Wow - a differnce, just in comfort alone. Taking your eyes off the screen, only for a micro second if needed, to look at the keyboard (something I would do time to time when using they keyboard) no longer takes place.
Big Plus to the G13.
Now - I need to figure out how to TS with it (as McPain suggested above).
If you haven't tried a G13, I suggest checking it out (Best Buy sometimes have one on display). Just rest you hand on it and compare that to a normal keyboard. I think you'll see the comfort factor is worth it. Last think I want it carpultunnel syndrom from playing Black Ops.

I love my G-13. I also posted a post about how to use macro's which are basically key-binds. You can have your typical "Please watch your language, we run a polite and friendly server" or what ever you need.
I can't go back to playing with a keyboard now....it just feels weird and wrong...The joystick as a knife...hmm...gonna have to try that....but for those of you who want to add the profile for Black Ops, you will have to use the World at War profile, if you had that game. Otherwise, create one or I can upload one somewhere from my comp so you have one started...but I need to know where to upload it to..
The macro post can be found here:

If you can't take the pain, maybe you shouldn't play!
