I have a really nice laptop, and after taking a tumble, the HDD is not bad. I have ran alot of programs on it trying to save it, but had no luck. I got my information off it, but even "HDD Regenerater" could not save it so I am looking for another one, with a 200gb min, It is a Serial ATA drive, also known as SATA. if anyone knows where I can get one thats not too expensive, please let me know. I have been out of work, and now holidays are keeping me out of work. but do hope to get back to work soon. Only drives I have been able find locally run about $90.00 before taxes, and thats a lil more then I can come up with at one time. Appreciate any ideas. . . Thanks

This is the best I have found

http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Western-Digital-WD2500BEVT-250GB-SATA-Laptop-HDD-/280610152504?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4155ab2038

if anyone can beat this price, please let me know, but I think this is as good as it is going to get . . .

I would go with a 7200rpm drive,  Seagate or WD.

If you want to throw in an extra $4 look at this sweet - Solid State Hybrid HDD!

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148593

Designed with high-performance core components on an innovative platform, the Seagate Momentus XT solid state hybrid drive consists of a
7200-RPM hard drive with 32MB of cache, 4GB of solid state SLC NAND flash storage, and Adaptive Memory technology, delivering an 80 percent faster

otherwise you can get a normal 250Gb Seagate or WD HDD  for $49.99 from NewEgg

For a laptop I would highly recommend a SSD.  Sadly they are still alittle expensive but in my eyes are way worth it.  Currently Im running a Intel X25-M Mainstream 2.5' 160GB SATA II MLC Internal () SATA SSD Hard Drive, which yes is not 200gb  but the transfer rate is unbelievable.  Just my two cents.
