I hope I am posting this in the right Forum, I have both programs, and I notice there are slight differences in the two, I am really going to apply my-self to learning graphics as best I can. A personal challenge of sorts. I am not sure which program would be considered the better of the 2. I know that CS5 is the newer of the 2, but newer is not always better, thou sometimes it is. So if I could get a few opinions, it may help me make a more informed decision, thats so much in advance . . . .

CS5 is the better of the two versions. There are some really good new features in CS5. They both work the same though for the most part so if you learn CS4 you will also know CS5 just not all of its features.

I thought as much. I was given PS9, so it will work just fine considering CS3-5 costs very much. Thanks.
