I just watched the video and it made me afraid...

Afraid that once this game hits the shelves and I start playing the missus will move me into the basement...

Yea, tough choice to make...but one I do willingly...  Laughing

Found this on one website...was also posted on STEAM...

"In Battlefield 3, players step into the role of the elite U.S. Marines where they will experience heart-pounding single player missions and competitive multiplayer actions ranging across diverse locations from around the globe including Paris, Tehran and New York

Features:
• Frostbite 2 – Battlefield 3 introduces Frostbite 2, the incredible technology that takes animation, destruction, lighting, scale and audio to new heights. Built upon this powerful game engine, Battlefield 3 immerses players physically and emotionally to the world around them like never before.

• Feel the Battle — Feel the impact of bullets and explosions, drag your fallen comrades into safety, and mount your weapon on almost any part of the terrain. Battlefield 3’s cutting edge animation, spectacular visuals and real as hell battle gameplay attack your senses and make you feel the visceral warriors experience like no other FPS.

• Unparalleled Vehicle Warfare — The best online vehicle warfare experience gets even better with a fitting sonic boom as fighter jets headline impressive lineup of land, air and sea vehicles.

• Urban Combat — Take the fight to iconic and unexpected places in the USA, Middle East, and Europe including claustrophobic streets, metropolitan downtowns, and open, vehicle-friendly landscapes as you fight your way through the war of tomorrow."

Highlights:

-Maps ranging from across different locations include Paris, Tehran, and New York
-Drag allys into safety (Hope thats true.)
-Mount your weapon on almost any part of the Terrain (Dunno how thats going to work, if its true)
-explosions throw you to the ground (that could be really awesome, and really bad in some situations)
-and land, air, and sea vehicles.

Seeing as its all from one site it may or may not be true, but one can dream, cant they?

Also 32 vs 32 multi? Sweet!

Mounting a weapon is not a new feature in games, there were mods back in CoD2 that you could mount the 30cal/mg34 or the other LMG's on any surface that is approx waist to chest height such as a low level wall or window sills, or on the ground when prone, it was one of my favorite mods because it decreased recoil considerably.

hopefully the recommended specs come out soon so I can upgrade accordingly.

Well I hope that they can do justice to the franchise.  BF2 consumed a frightening amount of my life and I long for the same kind of experience in BF3.  Vehicles, HUGE multiplayer, urban combat...if it's done right...I'M THERE!  Good luck to DICE.
